The Beardly Poll

Update: The event has already taken place, but I’m leaving this page up for now just for fun. BTW, the beard won.

Unless you’re completely new here, you know I’m having my head shaved at a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event in Chicago this Saturday, March 24, 2012. Several people have asked me if I plan to keep my beard or shave it off with the rest of my hair. This is a very good question. Here are my thoughts:

If I’m to have my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, shouldn’t I get rid of all of the hair on my head/face? But then, kids don’t have beards to begin with, so does it matter? And it’s not like they’ll be shaving off all of my body hair. Boy, wouldn’t that be awkward? So where do I draw the line?

I confuse myself every time I think about it, so I figured I’d take a poll and let you, my dear readers, decide. To shave, or not to shave?

Wait! So you’ve submitted your opinion here. Thanks. But if you want to make your vote really count, read on…

If you think I should KEEP the beard this Saturday, go vote with a donation to “Save the Beard!
If you think I should DITCH the beard this Saturday, go vote with a donation to “Shave the Beard!

We’re in the home stretch here, kids. The more you give, the more your vote counts!

  2. keep the beard, KEEP THE BEARD. I have a little obsession with beards.

  3. Haha! If more gorgeous women like Katy vote yes to the beard, that will convince him to keep it!
I am so torn. I don’t LOVE beards, but he is hella sexy with it. Le sigh.

  4. Shave it all! When my mother-in-law had her chemo treatments she lost all her hair. Eyebrows and eyelashes included. Your team is doing a great thing ,Chris. Just go for it! 😀

  5. Beards are like cat nip for women. Keep.

  6. I am aware I am late to the party and my input will have no significance. But, I am obsessed with beards, so this tab caught my eye.
